Hainipi (hi-Ne Pee)… that means hi, hey, or hello in a friendly way.
Hi everyone! Welcome to The BAGO Mic, powered by student voice—where students lead the way.
We are students from Winnebago Public Schools, broadcasting from the Winnebago Native American Reservation in Winnebago, Nebraska. This podcast is created by us… for the world.
Let’s start by introducing ourselves.
My name is Liam.
My name is Senia.
Today’s episode is about: New Year’s resolutions and goals for 2026.
Before we begin, we want to share something we’re thankful for:
I’m thankful for my mom, my little sister, my brother, and my stepdad.
I’m thankful for my parents.
Now let’s get into it!
Once again, the topic we are talking about is New Year’s resolutions and goals for 2026.
What is one thing you’re proud of from last year? Last year in school or in your life?
Being nice. I’m proud of being nice.
I was proud that I had Ms. Amin because when I was in third grade, she was always really nice to me.
What is one school-related goal you want to work on in 2026?
100 percent.
I want to do math and reading.
Why is this goal so important to you?
I just want to get to it.
What is one goal you have outside of school for 2026?
Probably 10.
My goals are getting better at basketball, kind of, and better at football, baseball, and wrestling.
What might make it hard to stick with your goals?
Probably not listening.
What is one small step you can take to work toward your goal?
You can not talk. You can listen.
Who is someone who can help or encourage you with your goals?
Maybe your parents or your teacher.
Your mom. Teachers.
How can teachers or adults help students reach their goals this year?
They can help you get to your goals—what you want.
They can encourage you. They can talk about it with you for a little bit and then let you work on it on your own.
How can friends support each other with New Year’s resolutions?
Stick with them.
Maybe help them, like make sure they’re not getting bullied and stuff.
What advice would you give to another student who wants to improve or try something new in 2026?
To be good at painting. To be good at painting.
I’d probably give my little brother more advice in wrestling.
