Hainipi (hi-Ne Pee)… that means hi, hey, or hello in a friendly way.

Hi everyone! Welcome to The BAGO Mic, powered by student voice—where students lead the way.

We are students from Winnebago Public Schools, broadcasting from the Winnebago Native American Reservation in Winnebago, Nebraska. This podcast is created by us… for the world.

Let’s start by introducing ourselves.

My name is Cas.

My name is Noe.

Today’s episode is about: New Year’s resolutions and goals for 2026.

Before we begin, we want to share something we’re thankful for:

I’m thankful for my family.

I’m thankful for our brain.

Now let’s get into it!

Once again, the topic we are talking about is New Year’s resolutions and goals for 2026.

What is one thing you are proud of from last year at school or in life?

A D-King dice.

Mine is art.

What is one school-related goal you want to work on in 2026?

Math.

Mine is the same as his.

Why is this goal important to you?

Because I’m really bad at math.

Because I just want to get better at it. I’m kind of bad at math too.

What is one goal you have outside of school for 2026?

Probably to get better at animating.

Mine is to pick up trash because people litter sometimes.

What might make it hard to stick with your goals?

Art block.

Not trying.

What is one small step you can take to work toward your goal?

Try to use more or less frames.

Mine is to try to pick up trash and actually do it.

Who is someone who can help or encourage you with your goals?

A friend or family.

My mom.

How can teachers or adults help students reach their goals this year?

Find something they aren’t really good at and try to teach them more.

Mine is to encourage them—like encourage us.

How can friends support each other with New Year’s resolutions?

Try to encourage them to do more if you see them not doing it.

Mine is to help them whenever they need help.

What advice would you give to another student who wants to improve or try something new in 2026?

It kind of depends on what they’re trying.

Try hard and do your best.

Just try your best.

Mine is to tell them don’t give up and keep on trying their best.
