Welcome to The BAGO Mic, where student voice leads the way. I’m your host, Jason, and today I’m excited to interview one of my classmates. Can you tell everyone your name, and maybe one fun fact about yourself?

My name is Nicholas. One fun fact about me is having all my friends here.

That’s really nice. What’s something you’re proud of about yourself?

Probably being myself and having my friends around me.

What’s one thing that makes you you?

Playing basketball. I really like playing basketball.

That’s awesome. What do you think you’re really good at right now?

Soccer, because I used to play and I still think I’m good at it.

What’s something you want to get better at this year?

Basketball. I was pretty good last year, but this year I want to work harder and get better again.

If you practice hard, you can accomplish a lot. What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be in the NBA.

That sounds exciting. Why does that job interest you?

I’ve been playing basketball most of my life, and some of my cousins play too. I want to be like them, and I think it would be really fun.

What kind of adult do you want to be someday?

Probably like my dad. He played basketball really well, but he had to stop because he needed eye surgery. Even though he can’t play like he used to, he still inspires me.

That’s really meaningful. What does a perfect day in your future look like?

Shooting around in the gym and practicing to get better so I can make it to the NBA.

What’s something you really enjoy doing, and why do you love it?

Playing basketball at the park. There are usually people there, and I like playing with different people. It’s fun.

What’s something you could talk about for hours because you love it so much?

Basketball. It’s my dream. I’ve been playing it for so long, and it just keeps getting more fun every day.

If you had an entire day to do anything you wanted, what would you do?

I would probably go shopping so I could get more basketball gear and equipment to help me practice harder and work toward the NBA.

If you had your own YouTube channel or podcast, what would it be about?

Probably my dog. I really like my dog. She’s fun to play with and always makes me happy.

You must really love your dog. What’s a skill or talent you’re working on that’s fun for you?

Basketball, because I’ve been playing it for a long time and it’s still fun for me.

What’s one way you hope to help people or make life better for others?

Giving people food and water so they don’t starve or get dehydrated.

That shows you care about others. What’s one problem in the world you’d like to help solve?

World hunger, because I don’t want anyone to die from being hungry.

When you think about changing the world, what does that look like to you?

Helping people, picking up trash, and helping others carry things when they need help.

What message do you want people to remember after hearing your episode?

Be kind.

What makes Winnebago special to you?

It’s my home. This is where I belong, and it’s always been my home.
