The BAGO Mic has grown into the heartbeat of our classroom — a place where students learn to lead, express who they are, and celebrate their community through the power of their own voices.
Student-led. Authentic. Full of heart.
Students plan, rehearse, and record episodes as they build real communication skills:
• asking meaningful questions
• speaking with confidence
• revising and improving their ideas
• supporting one another as a creative team
A cultural pulse at the center of every episode.
The heartbeat drum you hear in the intro and outro was taught by community mentors and has become a grounding rhythm that connects the project to community learning and the voices students are surrounded by.
A project that continues to grow.
As students gain confidence, they’re dreaming bigger — interviewing more classmates and peers, elders, fluent speakers, veterans, artists, athletes, and more. The BAGO Mic evolves each time students discover new ideas, new stories, and new possibilities.
