WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.

What we believe about ourselves matters.

Learning.
Leading.
Growing.

I can do hard things!

I am unstoppable!

I matter!

I am smart!

I can change the world!

Think Like a Scientist

Scientists do more than collect facts. They notice patterns, ask testable questions, gather evidence, and change explanations when the evidence changes.

The Challenge

Two identical cups of ice are placed in different spots—one in direct sunlight and one in shade. Which will melt faster, and how could you test it fairly?

How a Scientist Thinks

  • Observe: What do I notice?
  • Wonder: What question can I actually investigate?
  • Predict: What do I think will happen, and why?
  • Control: What should stay the same so the test is fair?
  • Measure: What evidence will I collect?
  • Revise: What does the evidence make me rethink?

Your Turn

Design the test. Decide what stays the same, what changes, what you will measure, and how often you will record data.

What Did You Notice?

What would make the test stronger? What result would surprise you? What new question might appear after the first test?

💡 Funky Tip

A scientist is not trying to prove they were right. They are trying to understand what the evidence shows.

Where Else Could You Use This Thinking?

Sports, cooking, gardening, health, engineering, environmental questions, product testing, and everyday “why did that happen?” moments.

🎒 Take It With You

Observe → question → test → use evidence → revise.
