Think Like an Entrepreneur
Entrepreneurs notice needs, create value, test ideas, and adapt when the first plan does not work.
The Challenge
Students keep forgetting pencils, chargers, and other small supplies. Create a simple idea that could help solve the problem without wasting money or creating more work than it saves.
How an Entrepreneur Thinks
- Notice a need: What problem do people actually have?
- Understand the user: Who has the problem, and what matters to them?
- Create value: How would this idea genuinely help?
- Test small: What is the cheapest, simplest version you could try first?
- Learn: What did people use, ignore, misunderstand, or request?
- Adapt: What should change before investing more time or resources?
Your Turn
Develop two possible solutions. For each, identify who it helps, what it costs in time or materials, and one way to test demand before fully building it.
What Did You Notice?
Did your favorite idea actually solve the strongest need? What information would you want from potential users?
💡 Funky Tip
An idea is not valuable just because the creator likes it. Value appears when it meaningfully helps someone.
Where Else Could You Use This Thinking?
Small businesses, school projects, clubs, fundraising, community services, inventions, events, and any situation where an idea must create real value for people.
🎒 Take It With You
Need → user → value → small test → learn → adapt.
